The Chairman described his participation in the fundraiser as a blessing and a meaningful occasion. His presence at the event reinforced APGA's alignment with community-driven humanitarian initiatives and its support for institutions that work to strengthen the social fabric of Anambra State.

The day's engagements culminated at the Christ the King Catholic Church Field in Ekeagu Abatete, where Chief Ezeokenwa joined the Homecoming Ceremony of Hon. Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Anthony Ibezi. The event dynamically transformed into a Mega Rally in support of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s bid for a second term in the upcoming November 8 gubernatorial election.

APGA Condemns Malicious Fabrications Against Anambra First Lady, Her Excellency Mrs. Nonye Soludo

APGA CONDEMNS MALICIOUS FABRICATIONS AGAINST ANAMBRA FIRST LADY, HER EXCELLENCY MRS. NONYE SOLUDO

The National Leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has issued a stern condemnation of what it describes as a recent wave of malicious falsehoods and fabricated allegations directed at the person and office of the Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Nonye Soludo.

In a statement released by its publicity committee, the party characterized these accusations, which it alleges were peddled by Senator Uche Ekwunife, as representing a new low in the state's political discourse. The party expressed its view that it is disgraceful for a figure of such standing to resort to the politics of calumny and character assassination against a woman who has dedicated herself to the selfless service and betterment of Anambra State.

The National Chairman of APGA, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, was quoted as vehemently condemning the Senator's actions, which he described as a desperate and reckless attempt to soil the impeccable reputation of the First Lady and destabilize the progressive administration of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo. Ezeokenwa stated that such lies are not only personally damaging but are also an affront to the dignity of the people of Anambra who hold Mrs. Soludo in high esteem.

The National Chairman further criticized the Senator for abandoning issues-based campaigning in favour of spreading blatant falsehoods, a tactic he sees as a clear indication of a bankrupt political agenda. He described it as a pathetic attempt to mislead the public and distract from the work being done by the Soludo administration.

Ezeokenwa condemned the action as unbecoming of any individual who claims to have the interest of Anambra at heart and urged the Senator to retract her statements and tender a public apology to Her Excellency.

The APGA National Chairman passionately urged the voters of Anambra State to completely disregard these lies, warning that more desperate fabrications can be expected as the election period approaches. He emphatically stated that the Soludo administration remains focused on its transformative agenda and will not be derailed by what he termed the toxic antics of opposition elements.

Concluding the statement, Barr. Ezeokenwa called on all citizens to remain steadfast and to use their votes as a weapon against lies and desperation by voting overwhelmingly for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to re-elect Governor Soludo for a second term. This, he stated, is the way to consolidate the gains of the past years and ensure the continuity of progress evident across the state.

The party affirmed that APGA remains the true embodiment of the people's will and called on all citizens to reject the politics of bitterness.

Anambra's Future, Not Fake Certificates, Is The Focus of Soludo Campaign - Soludo- Ibezim Campaign Organization (SICO)

ANAMBRA'S FUTURE, NOT FAKE CERTIFICATES, IS THE FOCUS OF SOLUDO CAMPAIGN - SOLUDO- IBEZIM CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION (SICO)

By APGA Publicity Committee

The Soludo-Ibezim Campaign Organization (SICO) today issued a statement addressing the current political climate ahead of the November 8th, 2025, gubernatorial election, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to a campaign focused on issues and the future development of Anambra State.

The organization noted that while various political parties and candidates are exercising their constitutional rights to campaign, recent desperate tactics from opponents, including what it termed “despicable obscenities” from the APC’s Deputy Governorship candidate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, are designed to distract the public. SICO stated that the Soludo-Ibezim ticket will not be baited into a mudslinging contest and will remain razor-focused on the substantive issues that matter to Ndi Anambra.

A fundamental issue in any election, SICO emphasized, is the constitutional qualification of candidates. For a state renowned for excellence and as the home of some of Nigeria's most distinguished intellectuals and leaders, the academic and moral caliber of its governor is of paramount importance. The organization drew attention to the exemplary academic credentials of all previous civilian governors of Anambra State since 1999, each of whom held at least a bachelor's degree from recognized institutions.

The current administration, led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, a globally acclaimed Professor of Economics, and his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, a medical doctor, represents the pinnacle of this tradition of excellence. SICO pointed to over 120 achievements of the administration in under three years, executed without borrowing, and a robust plan for the future as the foundation of their campaign, which has received widespread endorsement from stakeholders across the state.

In the interest of public discourse, SICO addressed the qualifications of the opposition APC ticket. Based on documents submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the organization contends that the APC gubernatorial candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, presented a GCE certificate with failing grades in core subjects like English and Mathematics, raising serious doubts about his basic literacy and numeracy—a fundamental requirement for effective governance.

Furthermore, SICO stated that the APC Deputy Governorship candidate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, swore under oath to possessing a GCE with only four subjects—insufficient for university admission—and a PhD from an unaccredited and unrecognized institution in the United States. The organization characterized this PhD as a “fake certificate from a fake university,” asserting that once this is discounted, her sworn qualification is inadequate.

This matter, SICO argued, is central to the ethical and moral rebirth championed by the Soludo-Ibezim administration, which is actively working to rid the state of negative influences, including fake credentials, that discourage hard work and enterprise. The organization believes that those seeking to lead the state must be held to the highest standard of integrity.

SICO also responded to an audio recording in which Senator Ekwunife allegedly admitted to being “in the mud” and vowed to fabricate smears against the Governor and his family, including the First Lady. The organization condemned these tactics as a desperate and fatal miscalculation.

The Soludo-Ibezim Campaign Organization concluded by reiterating its dedication to a forward-looking campaign based on value creation and proven performance. However, it affirmed that the issue of basic qualifications and integrity for the office of the Governor will remain a legitimate and critical issue for the voters of Anambra to consider, now and in the future.

APGA Reaffirms Commitment to Electoral Integrity at INEC Roundtable on Premature Campaigns

**APGA REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO ELECTORAL INTEGRITY AT INEC ROUNDTABLE ON PREMATURE CAMPAIGNS**

By APGA Publicity Committee

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, has reiterated the party’s steadfast commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s democracy through strict adherence to the nation’s electoral laws.

This was declared yesterday in Abuja at a high-level Roundtable on *“The Menace of Premature Campaigns by Political Parties”* organized by the Electoral Institute of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The engagement brought together political parties, civil society organizations, and electoral experts for a robust exchange of ideas on safeguarding Nigeria’s electoral process.

The Roundtable was chaired by Honourable National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee (IVEC), Mr. Sam Olumekun, mni. He underscored the importance of collective responsibility among political stakeholders to ensure respect for electoral guidelines and prevent the abuse of campaign regulations.

Speaking as a panelist on the legal framework governing campaign activities, the APGA National Chairman stressed that strict compliance with Section 94(1) of the Electoral Act, 2022 is non-negotiable. He reminded stakeholders that the law clearly stipulates the timeframe for campaigns, warning that any violation erodes democratic order.

Barr. Ezeokenwa highlighted that premature campaigns not only distort the level playing field which INEC works to maintain but also weaken electoral integrity and reduce public confidence in democratic institutions. He noted that such infractions put unnecessary strain on Nigeria’s political system and must be curtailed.

He went further to emphasize that political ambitions must never override constitutional obligations. According to him, “For democracy to thrive, discipline among political actors is crucial. Respecting timelines is not a matter of choice but a matter of law, and only by following these rules can we protect the sanctity of our elections.”

Reaffirming APGA’s stance, the Chairman restated that the party is focused on issue-based politics within the legal framework. He assured that APGA will continue to prioritize the interests of the people, promoting good governance and development over unnecessary early politicking.

The Roundtable also provided civil society organizations and electoral experts the platform to outline the dangers of premature campaigns. Several speakers called for stronger enforcement mechanisms to deter violations, while others recommended collaborative monitoring between INEC and political parties.

In his closing remarks, the APGA Chairman commended INEC and the Electoral Institute for organizing the session and pledged the party’s willingness to partner with all stakeholders in building a credible, transparent, and inclusive electoral process.

APGA concluded by urging all political actors to embrace discipline, respect the law, and commit to strengthening democracy in Nigeria. The party emphasized that only through collective adherence to the rules can the nation guarantee free, fair, and peaceful elections for its citizens.

**APGA GREETS MUSLIMS ON EID EL MAULUD**

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid El Maulud celebration.

He described the event as a period of spiritual reflection, devotion, and unity among the faithful, as it commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Chief Ezeokenwa noted that Eid El Maulud offers Nigerians a unique opportunity to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of the Prophet, especially his message of peace, tolerance, humility, justice, and love for humanity. He urged Muslims to emulate these virtues in their daily lives and in their relationships with fellow citizens.

The APGA National Chairman stressed that the celebration is not only a religious commemoration but also a reminder of the need to strengthen bonds of brotherhood, promote peaceful coexistence, and build a society founded on mutual respect and understanding.

Chief Ezeokenwa further encouraged Muslims to use the period of EId El Maulud to pray fervently for Nigeria, particularly for unity, security, and prosperity. He emphasized that the country requires the collective prayers and efforts of its citizens to overcome current challenges.

He assured Nigerians that APGA remains committed to promoting peace, equity, and justice in the nation’s political landscape. According to him, the values preached by the Prophet align with APGA’s philosophy of inclusiveness, progress, and service to humanity.

The APGA leader also called on political leaders, irrespective of party affiliations, to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, dialogue, and compassion in governance. He said this was necessary to build a Nigeria where all citizens, regardless of religion or ethnicity, feel secure and respected.

Chief Ezeokenwa encouraged Muslim youths in particular to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s life, dedicating themselves to education, moral uprightness, and nation-building. He highlighted the critical role of young people in shaping the country’s future and urged them to remain steadfast in positive values.

The National Chairman also extended his goodwill message to Muslim communities across all states where APGA has strong grassroots presence, reaffirming the party’s solidarity with the faithful as they mark this sacred celebration.

He concluded by wishing Muslims a joyous and peaceful Id el Maulud, praying that the blessings of the season will continue to enrich families, strengthen communities, and bring lasting peace to Nigeria.
