APGA NATIONAL CHAIRMAN JOINS ARCHBISHOP OKEKE FOR FEAST OF THE QUEEN OF THE ROSARY, RECEIVES EVANGELIZATION AWARD

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, was profoundly honored to join His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Valerian Maduka Okeke, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha, in a grand celebration marking the Feast of the Queen of the Rosary at Queen of the Rosary College, Onitsha.
The event, held on Friday, September 12, 2025, served as a significant spiritual gathering for the college community and the wider archdiocese, centering on devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the institution's revered patroness.
The celebration was highlighted by a solemn Holy Mass presided over by Archbishop Okeke, which united clergy, religious members, students, alumni, and esteemed guests in an atmosphere of heartfelt thanksgiving and prayer. The event provided a powerful moment of collective reflection and spiritual renewal, reinforcing the deep-rooted Catholic traditions that form the bedrock of the institution's identity. Barr. Ezeokenwa’s participation underscored a shared commitment to the values of faith and community integral to the region.
In his reflections on the institution, Barr. Ezeokenwa commended the steadfast dedication of the management, staff, and students of Queen of the Rosary College in upholding its distinguished legacy of academic excellence and moral discipline. He described the college as a bastion of character formation, renowned for nurturing young minds to emerge not only as intellectually proficient scholars but also as spiritually grounded and socially conscientious citizens who contribute positively to society.
The APGA National Chairman extended his deepest appreciation to Archbishop Valerian Okeke for his unwavering and visionary commitment to the holistic development of youth through Catholic education. In a related and distinguished honor following the feast day celebration, Barr. Ezeokenwa was privileged to receive the ‘Award of Advocate of Evangelization’ at All Hallows Seminary, Onitsha. The award was presented by the Trinitas School of Evangelization of the Onitsha Archdiocese in recognition of his selfless contributions to the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his exemplary leadership, which is deeply rooted in the principles of morality, humility, and selfless service to humanity.
Connecting the day's spiritual events to his political philosophy, Barr. Ezeokenwa reaffirmed his conviction that politics should fundamentally serve as an instrument for advancing the common good. He emphasized that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as a movement founded on the “Onye Aghana Nwanne Ya” (Be Your Brother’s Keeper) philosophy, remains steadfastly committed to people-centered governance, social justice, and the urgent moral rebirth of leadership at all levels of society.
